Importing Tasks from MS Excel™

In contrast of support for data exchange with MS Project ™ the primary purpose here is to exchange project plans with other Cockpit-projects or other applications. You have the possibillity:

• export tasks and work items to MS Excel™
• import tasks from MS Excel™

Import

To import tasks from MS Excel™...

1. Select the desired project in the Project Navigator
2. Right click the root node of the project and select Import in the context popup menu. This will activate the import wizard
3. Select Tasks from Microsoft Excel and click Next
4. On the next page you may enter a name of the project plan and select the file to be imported.

5. Finally, hit Finish and the tasks contained in the file will be imported.*

   Please note that only the tasks will be imported. If the file contains work items these will not be imported
