Creating a Work Item

There are three ways to create a new work item:

• On a plan element - by clicking with the right mouse button on the plan element in the InfoLink View or in the Editor and selecting New→Work Item.... The newly created work item will automatically be associated with the plan element it was created on.
• On a task - by selecting the task in the Project Data View and clicking Create New Work Item... in the context popup menu. The newly created work item will automatically be associated with the task it was created on.
• By dragging a task onto a plan element in an open Editor. This will automatically create a new work item that is associated with the task that was dragged and the plan element the task was dragged to.

Whatever way you created the work item it will immediately bring up the dialog to edit it. Tell me more about the dialog to edit a work item...
