Print

You can print a plan by selecting Print in the File menu or by pressing [Ctrl] + P.

This will launch the dialog to change the print settings.

Print Settings

The dialog seems a little complex, but it is organized in six logical sections.

Preview

The preview pane gives you a preview of the plan to be printed. You can enable or disable the preview using the checkbox underneath.

Zoom

In this section you can set the size of the printout. You can specify

• That the plan shall be printed with a certain zoom factor
• That the plan shall be printed using a defined number of pages horizontally
• That the plan shall be printed using a defined number of pages vertically
• That the plan shall be printed using a defined number of pages horizontally and vertically

Alignment

In this section you may set the vertical and horizontal alignment of the printout.

Margins

In this section you may specify the margins for the sheets. You will see a warning if you specify margins below the margins supported by the printer.

Optional Content

Here you can specify optional settings:

• Include projections - will print the current projection along with the plan
• Include highlight - will print the current highlight along with the plan
• Include meta information - will put a border around the plan and print a legend in the bottom right corner

Printing Options

In this section you find a button to launch the default printer dialog of the underlying operating system. This dialog may e.g. allow you to select the printer and change settings for it.

Printing the Plan

To print the plan click the button Print.

Please note that pressing the button OK will only close the dialog and save the settings, but will not print the plan.

Saving the Settings

To save the setings for the print click the button OK. This will not print the plan.

Bitmap Export

You can export a plan into a bitmap image by selecting File→Save as Image... in the main menu.

Dimension & Resolution

In this section you can set the resolution and size of the image. You can specify

• The resolution for the image, or
• The width of the image, or
• The height of the image, or
• The width and height of the image

WMF Export

You can export a plan into a WMF file by selecting File→Save as WMF... in the main menu. The following export dialog is identical to the SVG export dialog.
