Creating a New Project

To create a new project on a server...

1. Select the server in the Project Navigator, right click it and click New→Project... in the context popup menu.

   

   Note that you might be asked to login to the server at this point. Please see Connect to Server for details.
2. This will launch the dialog to create a new project.

   

3. Enter the name of the new project and, optionally, a description in the text fields. Please make sure that you pick a name that is not already taken by another project on the same server. Click Next.
4. On the second page you may choose a project logo and enter a copyright notice. Both will appear in printouts when printing with meta information enabled. You can either create an empty project or select your own project template to create your project from a file.

   

5. Clicking Finish will create the project.
6. In the Enterprise Edition a dialog appears asking you whether you wish to configure permissions now. You may either modify the project permissions right away or change them at any later time. Permissions are discussed in detail in the Permission Management help topic.
