It is possible to display plans with an alternative labeling in ARCWAY Cockpit. Custom Properties will be used for this purpose. That way plans can for example be displayed in different languages.
To open a plan with alternative labeling it is necessary to define a custom property for unique elements first. This custom property has to be of type String.
This example illustrates how to open an English plan with Spanish labeling. For that purpose you have to define a custom property for unique elements and name it Spanish Name. Afterwards you can edit the unique elements on your plan and assign values to the property you just created.
Now the plan can be opened with this property as a label. Choose the plan in the project navigator and right-click to open the context menu. Now select the menu item Open with Property "Spanish Name".
Now the plan will be opened. If you didn't assign a value to the property for any unique element, the name of the element will be shown. The properties of an unique element can be edited any time and will then be updated on the plan.
Please note that a plan that has been opened with alternative labeling cannot be edited within the same editor. You can edit the plan as usual with another editor.
