The Offline Mode allows for working with projects even if no connection to the server is available.
The project will be locked against the changes of other users as soon as
it has been switched to offline mode. This lock is going to be release when
the project will be switched back to online mode.
A project can only be edited in offline mode by one user at a time. All
other users will meanwhile not be able to switch the project into offline mode.
Other users may be working on project data at the time you are switching the project into offline mode. These users will still be able to edit the affected data and commit changes to the server. This data will be locked for you and can not be edited on your client. Try to make sure that the data, that you want to work on in offline mode, is not already being edited (and thus be locked for you) by other users.
You can differentiate between projects in offline mode and projects in online mode by means of their icon and label.
A connection to the server has to be available to activate and deactivate the offline mode. A project has to be open to switch into offline mode.
You need to have a full local license and the permission "" (as administrator
you are going to have this permission by default) to use this feature.
Please note that it will not be possible to switch a project into offline mode
if any other user is defining so called custom properties at the same time.
