Determine at whcih points in the report page breaks are to be enforced.
The title page is here considered to comprise all parts of the DocBook structure of the report to be generated
which are placed before the first chapter. If the report is generated using the ARCWAY default report template, then
this is a page containing the title, the sub title and a logo.
If a page break is to be enforced, then it can be decided whether it shall be a page break to the next page
or to the next odd page. The latter option can be used, e.g., to have all chapters start on the right side page
in a tack-welded report.
Determine whether a cross link within a report should be followed by the page number of the link target. This option is especially useful for reports that are to be printed out and used in paper form, since in this case the cross links themselves can not be used.
Set the image format which is to be used to integrate plan graphics into a report. WMF is a vector-based format and offers thus higher quality, especially it is zoomable without loss of quality. However, since WMF is a Microsoft standard, it is not equally well supported on all platforms. Therefore the pixel-based format PNG can be used as an alternative, which is well-supported on all platforms.
For Cockpit objects it is possible to define further - "custom" - properties, amongst others such of type "File".
If via such "File" custom properties MS Word files are attached to Cockpit objects and are as a result put into a report,
then this option can be used to determine how to deal with these MS Word files.
The first option is to embed these MS Word files as OLE objects. In this case the MS Word file will be retained as a
separate document, which can be viewn and edited in a corresponding frame within the report. The frame, however, can not be wrapped
over several pages, which means, that embedded multi-page MS Word documents will have to be scrolled within the frame.
The second option is to embed the MS Word file directly into the report. In this case it will be merged into the report and will
not be recognizable as a separate document, anymore. This is comparable to a copy&paste of the contents of one MS Word file
into another. Unfortunately, due to a restriction of MS Word, this does not work if the MS Word document to be embedded
contains section breaks.
